There Goes The Weekend

Man, this is one hell of a week. The work just keeps on coming, and even though my office doesn't open on weekends, I had to show up this afternoon for some extra assignments. And I have to go back there tomorrow morning too, to wrap things up. Sucks. But the good thing is, there's a payoff for all this. So it's great that our sacrifices are not for nothing.

Watched another film today. Not bad at all, though I am itching to watch American Gangster next week. Denzel and Russell.....it's a combination that you wouldn't want to miss.

I had just finished watching another episode of Damages on TV. Its lead star, Glenn Close, recently won the Golden Globe for best actress, so this show is definitely more than promising. Anyway, there was a girl on the show, who looked so pretty, and she seemed familiar somehow. It was only after I studied her face and ran it through my mind again and again, that I finally realised she looked just like that girl I adored in my office last year. That face....it won't leave my memory ever. And oddly enough, I pray it never does.

By the way, in case you didn't know, American Idol is back. Get ready for yet another round of bad auditions and horrible singing. The initial auditions are always the best part of the season, because this is where you get to see America's worst wannabe singers perform. And Simon Cowell's comments are classic, honest and more importantly, brutal. Just the way I like it. I have this video of an audition I watched this week which is totally hilarious. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face, if not make you laugh. Enjoy.

Man, that dude is a pure Filipino. Nope, it didn't make me laugh nor smile. What he did was shameful!
